Kids and parents had lots of fun at the party on 06/21/2010 in Smith park, middletown, CT. Instead of coaching soccer, coaches were flipping burgers and cooking hotdogs. Goran needs to practice burger juggling skills to match his ball juggling skill and michael needs to get fire extinguisher training next time before he will cook for us again. Parents brought many foods too. Check out the cake with middletown magic logo! The kids vs parent game was the best part. Our mom players played tough. They were aggressive, running up and down and nobody can stop them. Chris was the goalie and nobody will be able to get the ball from him. No way! (Chris has 1 day experience of being goalie and he just learnt that he should not pick up the ball if passed back by his team mate.) We had lot of fun!

GORAN VASIC SOCCER ACADEMY ANNOUNCES NEW JERSEY CAMPS

Middletown, Conn. (Wednesday, August 4, 2010) – – The Goran Vasic Soccer Academy (GVSA) announced today that it will be holding three camps in New Jersey over the month of August. Planned over the next few weeks will be soccer camps in South Brunswick, North Brunswick and Red Bank.
“I enjoyed playing professional soccer for two seasons in New Jersey, and I look forward to heading back into the soccer community there with these upcoming camps,” GVSA founder Goran Vasic commented. “It will be great to see some of the familiar faces I have trained in the past, and we would also like to welcome any other young players who would like to sharpen up their game.”

Vasic spent two seasons with the New Jersey Ironmen of the Major Indoor Soccer League from 2007-09, and he also trained young players throughout the region while playing professionally in the Garden State. The last year that the Serbian native played with the Ironmen, he also served as an assistant coach to Omid Namazi, who is the current head coach of the Chicago Red Stars of Women’s Professional Soccer.

The first planned GVSA camp will be conducted from August 9-12th at the South Brunswick Harvest Woods Fields from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. daily, and the cost for the program is $149. The second set of GVSA camps will both be run from August 23-26th, with the time and cost of the clinics being the same as the first program in South Brunswick. The first of those latter camps will occur at the North Brunswick Workhouse Fields, with the second one taking place at the Red Bank East Side Park, located at 27 Harrison Avenue.

GVSA camp programs are professionally designed to develop motor skills, as well as promoting and creating self confidence in each of its participants. The clinics will be conducted in a non-competitive environment with a focus on having fun above everything else, and a variety of drills will be performed to develop balance, movement and motor skills. Middletown, Conn. (Wednesday, March 3, 2010) – The Goran Vasic Soccer Academy (GVSA) officially announced today that it has partnered with the Town & Country Early Learning Centers. The duo will work together in a cooperative kiddie soccer program, scheduled to begin on Thursday, April 1st. “Town & Country Early Learning Centers play a key role in the growth of each of its young children, and I am very pleased to be partnering with them,” GVSA founder Goran Vasic commented. “Together, we will teach young athletes the basics of the game of soccer, all the while helping them to develop self-confidence and having fun doing it!” The GVSA kiddie program is for kids that are two years of age and older, and a small monthly fee of $55 will give participants the ability to play in weekly 45-minute training sessions. The first location of the program will be at the center located at 861 Middle Street in Middletown. From 9:15-10:00 a.m. on Wednesday mornings, a toddler (ages 2-3) session will be run while a preschool (ages 3-5) program will be run from 10:15-11:00 a.m. The second location of the program will be at the center located at 195 South Main Street in Middletown, with the sessions running on Thursdays during the same time frames.
